Just to make sure I duplicated Michael’s instruction from scratch and I can see the Authors box above Story Design fine. Can you make sure the plugin is activated? The theme version mostly like should not matter because the appearance of Authors box should not depends on themes. (I can still see the Co-Authors box even if I switch the theme to any generic theme.)
