I would very much like to know how I might get a video in that header section with the title instead of a photo.
    Thanks!

Hi Cory! Thanks for your post.

I found this WordPress plugin that might do what you’re wanting. Give it a look at https://wordpress.org/plugins/featured-video-plus/

    Hope that helps!

I’ve played around with that plugin, but I don’t think it does what I am looking for. I would like to replace a featured image (the background image behind my post title) with a video (a moving picture behind my post title).

A perfect example would be the NY Times “Snow Fall” website: https://www.nytimes.com/projects/2012/snow-fall/#/?part=tunnel-creek

    Could you help me? Thanks!

Hi Cory. Having a video as a featured image isn’t something that can be done within Aesop. The New York Times Aesop site is heavily modified. For example, if you use the Chrome inspector tool, you will see that the video section is completely custom coded by them (one example has a CSS class of “nytmm_fs_video”).

Your best option will be to find a plugin on WordPress that will allow you to use a video as a featured image, instead of an image. Even with a plugin, you may need to write some custom code to tweak it exactly as you want it to appear.

Sorry I can’t be of more help!
