I’m working on a page using the theme Kerouac. I noticed that the Document Component doens’t really work on Opera and some mobile devices (“this plugin isn’t supported”). Is there any way how I can fix this? Or can you suggest an easy alternative plugin that won’t crash with aesop or Kerouac?
Thanks :)!KeymasterHey Sabrina,
Thanks for lettings us know about this issue. Sorry for the inconvenience.
To further understand what is going, could you tell me what versions of Aesop Story Engine, Kerouac, WordPress, and Opera are you using?
Also what mobile devices are not loading the doc component?
ParticipantHallo Michael,
sorry that I’m replying so late! I’m using WordPress 4.2.2, Kerouac 1,1 (is this the most recent one?) and the most recent Version of Opera.
Mobile: The most recent version of chrome (Android device).
I have problems with other components as well, like, the optional lightbox on Parallax-Images doesn’t work, I wonder if this is because of the Kerouac/Wordpress combination? And the content component-text kind of floats outside the content-box on mobile devices, I wonder if this is normal, too?
If this is too much, we could use the private-talk-mode as well!
Thanks for the help 🙂
KeymasterThanks for the feedback. Would you happen to have a URL that you could privately share with us so we can check into what is going on? Or you could send us some login info.
KeymasterHello Sabrina,
The document component seems to work fine in Opera, as it is styled to open on click. The parallax component does have issues, however, Firefox, Safari, and Chrome all work fine, is there any reason you can’t use any of the other modern browsers?
ParticipantHi Michael,
thanks for your answer! You know, I can user other modern browsers, but maybe the users who will want to look at the page can’t. Do you plan to solve the issue for Chrome? Because, you know, we bought the theme based on the information that it works on chrome.
And do you have an advise for the mobile “content”-component? It just doesnt resize correctly, Kerouac is basically useless on a mobile device…
KeymasterFirefox, Safari, and Chrome all work fine. Did you mean Opera?
Do you have a screenshot for the mobile content component issue?
