I am trying (without much success) to implement the Paver plugin (http://terrymun.github.io/paver/demo/index.html) into the options of galleries available to Aesop Plugin. Would it be possible to add it natively? Paver is a great plugin for images because it replicates the behavior of images on Facebook Instant Articles, allowing the user to scroll through large images or panoramas with gyro by tilting their smartphones.
I think it would be a great add.
Thanks!February 23, 2018 at 2:28 pm #17428
Hi I can’t give you an ETA but I will look into this and incorporate to Aesop when I can. Thank you for your suggestion. Which Aesop gallery would you prefer I work on first?

Thank you for your reply! I really like the parallax gallery. If you could keep it as it is on desktop and make it work full screen + paver on mobile it would be great.March 31, 2018 at 6:08 pm #17671
Hi I have added new Parallax options to: (188.8.131.52)
Parallax Gallery (mobile only)
Check it out and please let me know what you think

Thank you for your message. I enjoyed the new options! But I missed the Paver plugin feature… https://terrymun.github.io/paver/demo/index.html
Do you still plan to add it in the future? Because the problem I am facing with galleries is that when you have a panorama or simply a landscape image, you cannot see it in detail on mobile. With the Paver plugin, it would be great to view such images as they could fill the screen height and the user could tilt the phone to see the width of the image.
Thank you!April 2, 2018 at 12:21 pm #17685
I thought that’s what I did. You are not seeing the panorama options?April 6, 2018 at 10:44 am #17725
There is a problem with the latest release of Google Chrome for mobile and it is not detecting the gyro. I spent a lot of time trying to check your update until I find this out. I Tried on another browser and it worked.
Maybe we should just wait for a fix…
Thanks for the update!!!April 13, 2018 at 10:54 am #17741
<p>I have just installed the latest version of Aesop Engine (1.9.10) but I have not been able to activate the Paver panorama effect. It looks the same whether the panorama option is activated or not (I am using the image component).</p>
<p>Also, on the galleries side, I can’t disable the Hero slideshow by setting the transition speed to 0. It automatically resets to 3000 after saving the gallery. I found a thread about that on the forum and thought it was already solved in the past, but it looks like the bug returned.</p>
<p>Can you help?</p>

- This reply was modified 3 years, 9 months ago by cci3. Reason: I thought I could attach pictures here, but I was wrong, so i removed the lines where I sayd "i have attached a picture etc etc"
Can you give me a URL where I can see the Panorama not working? If the image is not much wider than the screen you won’t see the panorama effect.
On Hero gallery if the speed is set to zero it will revert back to the default value of 3000. It’s somewhat intentional. As a work around you may try putting in a large value. If it’s important for you I can try to add the option to explicitly disable transition.April 13, 2018 at 3:51 pm #17746
The website is on http://www.camara.sp.gov.br/apartes
But we couldn’t put the latest aesop into production because we have a queue and it takes some time. We can only test it locally for now.
What I observed is that the template is not loading the paver.js footer. We are using Novella. Can you replicate it on your side?
Thank youApril 13, 2018 at 5:35 pm #17749
No I can’t replicate on my side. I will still look into it.April 13, 2018 at 6:14 pm #17750This reply has been marked as private.April 16, 2018 at 9:53 am #17753
