ParticipantFilled out the info for social sharing after buying the plugin. But I don’t see any icons. Do I need to add anything to the template?

KeymasterHey Gary,
Have you checked the “Enable Aesop Social Links” option under the Genji customizer options? Perhaps that’s what is missing.
Also, we have all the details on our doc page if you need any more info.

ParticipantSo I enabled the icsons, but nothing’s visible. Where should they show up?

ParticipantNot there: sunnyinkabul.com

KeymasterWhat version of Genji and Aesop Social Share are you using?
Can you make a screencast with something like https://recordit.co ?

ParticipantThink that’s it…I’m still on 1.0. How can I get the update? I bought it under the old store, apparently, so I’m grandfathered in.

KeymasterGary, you can update to 1.0.4 by grabbing the license key in the downloads area of your account (http://aesopstoryengine.com/account) and entering it into the Aesop Social license area in the WP admin: https://recordit.co/WG4jacPz8m

ParticipantI bought the original theme when it was still nickhaskins.co, so not sure if that makes a difference. There’s no Genji license code in my account at that link.
I found the Genji license code in my email…but you’re telling me I should put the Genji license into the Social area? I just tried that, nothing happened. But when I re-entered the Social license I got earlier, it’s now showing as ‘active.’

KeymasterNo, you can put the Aesop Social license in the social license area.

ParticipantHere’s what I’ve done so far:
Genji license: active
Social license: activeStill no icons on the site, and it’s not updating my theme.
Several months ago per instructions from the old site, I tried to shift this over to the Aesop site…never got a response back, and just gave up on the theme for a while. So if I’m still stuck in that limbo, is that what’s causing me not to get any updates on the theme?

ParticipantEntered the new license…not showing as “active” now. That little green “active” label? Not there.

KeymasterAnother option is to manually download Genji and Aesop Social from https://aesopstoryengine.com/account/ to get the most recent versions and then upload them to your WP install.

ParticipantThanks! That worked…smallish, but…they’ll do. Like that they’re smaller, I think, trying to focus more on the content anyway.
