I am working at setting up my WordPress using Jergen. My menu is nowhere visible on the live website. There is a floating bar at the top left corner with the “Home” icon but no icon to make de menu appear. Without menu, this theme is useless for me.

Hi Marc-Andre. Could you please provide me with a link to your website so I can take a look?June 27, 2014 at 11:19 pmJune 29, 2014 at 10:03 pm
I have worked on the website a good part of the week-end. The menu still don’t appear on the homepage which is a post with Aesop Story Front (http://marcpauze.com) and on the blog page (http://marcpauze.com/category/blog). When I load a page (like FAQ or About) the menu appear on the right side (http://marcpauze.com/foire-aux-questions/)
I really hope we can work this situation out because the theme is what I need as a storytelling platform.
I am also wondering if it is possible to have a footer widget?

You can have a look at a page I have done with ASE: https://marcpauze.com/2014/05/le-regard-qui-porte-loin/
You will see that the menu doesn’t appear on the top bar.

Hello again Marc-André. Thanks for the follow-up information.
To enable the front page header in Jorgen, be sure to visit WP-admin –> Appearance –> Customize –> Jorgen Options then check the box next to “Enable Front Page Header”. Further documentation for Jorgen is available at https://aesopstoryengine.com/product-documentation/.
Regarding a footer widget, this is something that has been requested previously and it’s on our list of potential add-ons. 🙂
Also, I wanted to note that this script is creating queries every second or two on your site which can cause bandwidth and loading issues:
Please let me know if selecting the option helps solve your issue.August 5, 2014 at 11:37 am
Although I did what you have suggested, no menu appear on the homepage, only on other pages and not posts. I manage to turn around the problem by making a navigation page accessed from the homepage (by clicking on the only link on it; “Explore”). You can have a look here: https://marcpauze.com
It would be good that the site menu icon appear on top of all the site (pages and blog post).
Cheers!August 5, 2014 at 6:15 pm
Hi Marc-Andre. Nice to hear from you again!
The reason your site isn’t showing the menu is because you have your homepage set to be a post. If you use the Jorgen grid as your homepage (instead of the post you specified), AND have checked the box to “Enable Front Page Header”, the menu icon will show on the top right.
Alternatively, pages will show a menu icon (example: https://playground.aesopstories.com/sample-page/) but posts do not.
