line 6 – <?php get_template_part(‘partials’,’viewing’);?>
The problem is there is no file called partials-viewing.php, nor even partials.php
In search.php there is this:
<?php get_template_part(‘content/viewing’); ?>
Maybe archive.php is supposed to be the same? I didn’t look close enough to decide this or not.
Regardless, for the sake of simplicity, I think I’m going to combine archive.php and search.php into a single index.php (adding some logic for that) in my child theme. It’s not only that (to me) they represent the same thing (an index list – which slight variations), but I want to do something while while’ing over the loop, and I don’t want to maintain that code in three different places**.
I realize you don’t care if I do this 🙂 But to me it looks like something worth doing, as all three are the same idea.
** I’m going to un-inline the background image from the <article…> tag and instead “write” the CSS while doing the loop and then echo that in a <style> ….</style> when the loop is done. This is also going to have 2 or 3 different background-image breakpoints. The large image on a small screen really annoys me 🙂
