    Thanks for the link. It didn’t quite work though and the output file missed bits and some images didn’t load in time, hence blank spaces still occurred. Is there any Aesop code that I can change to turn on all components all the time?

    I don’t have the Lazy Loader plug-in activated and parallax is turned on for some quotes, but not all. Even the quotes without parallax fade in as I scroll down the story page, which is fine normally. However, as I try and convert the page to PDF, none of those elements are fading in and therefore are appearing empty in the PDF. Is there a way I can override the normal fade in and just have all text and images appearing all of the time?

    Hi Jenny. Sorry to hear about the wisdom teeth, hope they’re better now! Don’t worry about this query, we are not using the Story Front at the moment. Thanks, Mark

    Actually, the Block Style Cover Options have appeared on the Page so ignore my previous message! However, I have used the same settings as my Post (Max Font Size: 350 and Max Title Width: 300px) but the title is appearing huge and not like it did before the Post was put in the Story Front. Do you know why this is doing this and is there a way I can correct it?

    Thanks, I see where I was going wrong. I have come up with another problem however. The Block Style Cover Options are not available on Pages and what I have defined in my story Post are not feeding through. You can see at https://www.theanarchystate.uk/latest-story/ that the Post title of “Devolution” is showing, however I had used the Block Style options on the Post to add “The Anarchy State”. Is there a way these selections can be made to feed through too?

    Hi Jenny, No, I am happy with this. Parallax images don’t pull up the Pinterest/social media buttons, however I have a workaround, adding a 0 width version below the Parallax; this is therefore not seen but comes up when clicking the Pinterest button at the bottom of the page. Thanks, Mark

    I don’t think the issue with the Parallax images is the placement of the hover off-screen (although I can see this will become a problem if it turns on!), as when the Pinterest button at the bottom of the page is clicked, it shows all the images on the screen that it can Pin, and the Parallax images are not included. Do you have any suggestions why they might be omitted?

    If I use Custom CSS for the Parallax Floater text, will that not change the appearance of all such elements within the story? I am looking for control over individual elements so each can be displayed differently, like can be done with the Quote text.

    All the best,

    Mark

    Hi Jenny,

    It would be great to have the Aesop Social Links on posts too, is there a way I can do this?

    On a slightly different but related issue, I have installed a plug-in to add social sharing buttons when hovering over images, WWM Social Share. This works with the Aesop Image component, but not with Parallax images. Do you know why this may be the case, are Parallax images dealt with/tagged differently? I have again put an example at http://www.theanarchystate.uk/test.

    Separately, for the text in Parallax’s, can you change the colour and size of the floater text, like you can with Quote text? If not, could this option be added in a future update?

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Hi Jenny, I’ve now used a couple of plug-ins for this, but have hit a placement issue. The Twitter and Facebook feeds both run along the left-hand side of the screen. Having looked at the Aesop content, it seemed I needed to try something like, “.fb-comments {margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto}”, however this did not help. If I use margin-left:240px, this works when viewing on a certain size screen, but does not align to the Aesop content when looking on a smaller screen (and possible/probably a bigger one too). Please see my example at https://www.theanarchystate.uk/test/. Can you advise on the Simple CSS code I would use to match the Aesop Content section so that everything is in a straight line?

    Also, I’ve just noticed that that the Aesop Social buttons appear on my home page, but not on the posts. I’m sure they were there the other day, have they disappeared with the latest Jorgen update?

    As always, thanks for your help. We are nearly set-up and ready to launch, so my queries will end soon!

    All the best,

    Mark

    I have just tried the Facebook Comments Social Plug-in Set-up (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/comments) and it has given me the following code. Can you advise where I enter this on Jorgen if I want it just above the WordPress Comments box as you detail above? I have installed Code Snippets, would this go in there?

    HTML5
    Include the JavaScript SDK on your page once, ideally right after the opening <body> tag.
    <div id=”fb-root”></div>
    <script>(function(d, s, id) {
    var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
    if (d.getElementById(id)) return;
    js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;
    js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.0″;
    fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);
    }(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));</script>

    Place the code for your plugin wherever you want the plugin to appear on your page.
    <div class=”fb-comments” data-href=”http://www.theanarchystate.uk/devolution&#8221; data-width=”400″ data-numposts=”5″ data-colorscheme=”dark”></div>

    Hi Jenny. I’ve been looking into some social media integration and am having problems. I have installed Aesop Social, however would like to replace the Comments section at the bottom of each post with two columns, a Facebook Comments section and a Twitter embedded timeline (I think – or some way of allowing people to tweet while also showing all tweets on a particular post). Is there any easy way for me to do this, or could I “buy” some of your time to help set this up (the method could then be made available to others?)? Thanks, Mark.

    Hi Jenny. No, this does not resolve the problem. I have updated the code to below. If I center the quote, it displays fine. However, if I put to the left or right, it changes to the big black space…

    [aesop_quote width="content" background="#472023" text="#FFFFFF" align="center" size="3" parallax="off" direction="up" quote="Rising up, back on the street. Did my time, took my chances. Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet. Just a man and his will to survive."] [aesop_quote width="content" background="#472023" text="#FFFFFF" align="left" size="3" parallax="off" direction="up" quote="Rising up, back on the street. Just a man and his will to survive."] [aesop_content width="content" columns="1" position="none" imgrepeat="no-repeat" color="#ffffff" background="#000000"]

    With no further movement on two of his proposed loan acquisitions, Roberto Martinez appears to be shifting his focus inwardly as he prepares for the start of the new season in just nine days’ time. The Everton manager had stated his intention last week to bring in at least one new face before the beginning of the Premier League campaign but with no movement on plans to bring in Christian Atsu and Lacina Traore, his rhetoric is increasingly pointing towards the Blues kicking off at Leicester with the squad as it currently stands.

    Hi Jenny, I have put a test page together at https://www.theanarchystate.uk/test-2-2/ with the code below. The odd thing is, this was all working and then suddenly stopped. The quotes aligned right seem to have turned black and inset into the text below, whereas previously they were the same colour as the bottom quote which is centered and therefore showing fine.

    [aesop_quote width="content" background="#472023" text="#FFFFFF" align="right" size="3" parallax="off" direction="up" quote="“Rising up, back on the street. Did my time, took my chances.     Hi Jenny,

    To clarify, I am just trying to have a picture alongside some text, like it is on one of the showcase projects (http://blogs.detroitnews.com/specialreports/2014/06/25/white-lake-moves-beyond-toxic-past/), next to the title “Growth brings problems”.

    I have set-up a test version at https://www.theanarchystate.com/2014/07/08/test/. The code is as follows;

    [aesop_content width="content" columns="1" position="none" imgrepeat="no-repeat" color="#ffffff" background="#000000"]This is where the words go. This is where the words go. This is where the words go. This is where the words go. This is where the words go. This is where the words go. This is where the words go. This is where the words go. This is where the words go. This is where the words go. This is where the words go. This is where the words go. This is where the words go. This is where the words go.[/aesop_content]
    [aesop_image img="http://www.theanarchystate.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/sir_robert_walpole.jpg" imgwidth="200px" align="right" offset="-200" captionposition="left" lightbox="off"]

    Any help would be greatly appreciated,

    Hi Jenny. I changed the fourth line from 5 “-” to 15 of them and that did the trick of bringing everything up higher into view. The problem was due to the five hyphens enlarging to cover the width of the page and thus creating a larger vertical gap. Thanks for helping with this. Mark

    That’s interesting, your site is showing fine. Even on Windows 7 Google Chrome, if I scale the size of my window and then load the sites, your block titles shrink to show all the words, but the only words that scale on mine are “THE ANARCHY STATE”, not lines 4 and 5, which drop off the page. Did you define your title over 5 lines or let it figure out how to present it automatically? I entered a max font size of 300 and a max title width of 350px. I can show you a screenshot if that helps?

    If I enter the video code into a new post without any other Aesop components it starts playing as soon as the page loads, no matter how far down the page it is. However, as soon as I enter a new component above, such as a Chapter, it doesn’t play at all until I click on it. You can see this at https://www.theanarchystate.com/2014/02/17/hello-world/.

    Great, thanks, I’ll give it a go. Is it the Jorgen theme that needs amending or the Aesop engine? Also, is this updated in the WordPress Editor or do I need to amend the file outside of WordPress before uploading the story engine or theme? I looked around the files in WordPress, but couldn’t seem to find the js file.

    Hi Nick. I’m almost there with the customisation and Aesop/Jorgen’s looking great!

    Something I haven’t been able to figure out: is it possible to amend when the block title disappears? For example, can I set it to disappear at the same time as the “Written by” text? I wasn’t sure if I could do this in CSS or if I needed to amend some part of the Jorgen code. Cheers, Mark.

    Nick, I started another post and re-inserted the same components, and for whatever reason, the white line is gone with just “.aesop-component {margin-top:0rem}” and “.jorgen-entry-content {padding-top:0rem}”. Therefore, please don’t worry about checking this.

    Thanks, I appreciate you looking. The link is https://www.theanarchystate.com/?p=11&preview=true, password: chaos. At the moment I have not included the clearfix css code, so the white line still appears at the top of the first image, but the footer is correct. If there is a way to remove this line without negatively impacting the footer, that would be helpful. However, if nothing springs to mind, please don’t spend too long on it, I will just live with the white band or dispense with the footer. Changing the chapter title colours would be useful though.

    Hi Nick, I just tried to update, but WordPress says, “The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template. jorgen-1.0.1 Stylesheet is missing.” How do I get around this, do I need to re-download the theme?

    Thanks for the font size, easier than I thought!

    I’ve been trying CSS and sorted the shadow. However, I have hit two stumbling blocks. I placed a Chapter component as the first item in my story, but when this scrolls over the Story Cover there is a band of white above the Chapter background image. I tried to remove this so that the image seamlessly scrolls over the cover by adding the following CSS info;
    .aesop-component {margin-top:0rem}
    .jorgen-entry-content {padding-top:0rem}
    .clearfix:before,.clearfix:after{display: none} or {display: block}
    Although this removes the background line, the Story Contributors section at the bottom goes a bit odd, with one thin band a little higher up than the rest of it. Is there a way around this, or am I stuck with either a band at the top or a skewed footer? Also, do you think those CSS lines of code above are likely to do other damage that I haven’t yet come across?

    My second problem was when I tried to change the colour of the Chapter titles. After following the link you sent I looked at the Inspect Element of Chrome and thought I had identified the code as “.aesop-chapter-title h2 {color:#cf1d2b}”, but this didn’t work. If you can offer any advice on this I would greatly appreciate it, and sorry to keep hassling you, I appreciate you must be very busy.

    I’ve installed Simple Custom CSS, however I’m not confident with what I have to enter here. I looked online and some advice was to put in, “box-shadow: none;” Do you think that would do it? I don’t want to accidentally upload some corrupting CSS rule!

    A few other things; Can I remove “Photography” from the “Story Contributors Setup” section? Can the “Content” text be justified? I tried the WP function “Align Full” however this didn’t do it. I also want to try increasing the font size of the first paragraph, like you have done on the Jorgen demo. Did you just increase the font size using a plug-in like “TinyMCE Advanced”?

    Apologies for the number of questions! We should hopefully be making good use of Aesop very soon!
